5 Ways To Cozy Up Your Home For Fall

Published on

It’s the time of year when cool breezes sweep rustling leaves down the street. Soft sweaters, fluffy socks and fuzzy blankets wrap us in comfort. Steam from hot chocolate tickles our nose, and our homes burst with colors and textures that make us feel that gooey, warm feeling inside.

It’s Fall! If you’re anything like me, that means it’s time to deck out your home with beautiful fall decor.

5 Fall Home Decor Ideas.

1.) Fall Throw Pillows. Mix and match colors. Layer different textures such as rich velvet, rustic tweed, faux fur and linen. Top it off with an accent pillow, cutely adorned with your favorite fall sentiment. You will smile inside every time you read it.

2.) LED Prints. Nothing sets the tone in a room like the artwork. A beautiful fall scene can evoke a feeling of peace in your heart. What’s better than a lovely fall print on the wall? One that is warmly lit with LED lights! For example, images of shabby barns or quaint cottages, tucked in groves of brilliant fall trees, can be lit to draw you into the scene.

3.) Fall Leaf Strands and Arrangements. Gussy up your fireplace or accent an archway with a strand of radiant fall leaves. For added ambiance, weave a string of clear or even orange lights through them. Want even more cozy? Bonus for twinkle lights. Don’t forget to add pops of fall color throughout your home with fall leaves and branches tucked into rustic vases, metal buckets or woven baskets.

4.) Fall Scented Candles. You’ve set the feel for the room, now add the finishing touch with the scents of home. Memories are strongly attached to the sense of smell. Give your family a way to go back home in their minds for years to come, with scents like cinnamon, pine or hazelnut. Dancing flames are also known for their way of creating special magic in a room.

5.) Fall Canvas and Wood Palette Prints. We all love inspiring quotes and uplifting sayings. Even a few short words can evoke peace, happiness or joy. Adorn your home with positive or just plain cute sayings, with canvas and wood prints. Set the tone for your home with small reminders of the best things in life.

Autumn is a time of slowing down. A time for rest and chilly afternoons with warm mugs of tea and books you can’t put down. I hope you take some time this season to breathe in some fresh air and take in the sight of blazing leaves.
